AIRBUS FOUNDATION DISCOVERY SPACE HAS LIFT OFF

The Airbus Foundation Discovery Space, created in partnership with North Hertfordshire College, today opened its doors to teachers and community partners from across Hertfordshire, who got an exclusive sneak peek of the centre in action.

Backed and funded by Airbus, the Airbus Foundation and the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, the Discovery Space leverages the inspirational power of the ExoMars Rover project to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.  The centre is designed to let visitors explore and learn for themselves through exhibits to promote science, technology, engineering and maths.

Andrew Stroomer, Head of Airbus in Stevenage said: “We are very privileged to work in the space industry at Airbus Stevenage, and extremely proud that we can transfer some of the excitement and opportunity of our business to help inspire the next generation of technicians, engineers and scientists through the Discovery Space.”
