The UK space agency are giving you the chance to name the European rover that will go to Mars in 2020. The European space agency say the new rover will land on mars as of spring 2021 after its launch. The rover is dedicated to exobiology and geochemistry research meaning it will search for signs of present or past microbial life.

The naming website is hosted by airbus and the rules of the naming are as follows:
1. The name can be a single word, a short combination of words, or an acronym.
2. It must not have been used for a past, current or proposed space mission.
3. Ideas should be accompanied by an explanation of no more than 150 words.
4. If a person's name, that person must have died on/before 10 October 1993.
5. The search website will close to entries at 23:59 BST on 10 October 2018.
6. A UK Space Agency expert panel will choose the best suggestion.
7. The winning entry will earn a tour of the Airbus factory building the rover.

All of the entries will be put before an expert panel and they will choose the winner!

The current rover is at Airbus called Bruno. You can see Bruno here at the Discovery Space centre which is backed and funded by Airbus, the Airbus Foundation and Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership and is run in partnership with North Hertfordshire College!
